McConnell's biggest source of power is being able to just completely block any legislation from being voted on altogether. Even if Manchin prevents a lot of good bills from being passed, getting votes will be much closer to a working Senate than the mess we have now.

It'd be huge and it should be fought for.

 

I just had a skype meeting with the doctors that run my EMS system. They've had whole departments give up their IDPH licenses and refusing to respond to 911 Covid calls. That is not good. They are telling us though that our chances of catching it in public are higher than responding to calls. He does all of the contact tracing for EMS people getting sick in our area and has said every single one of them was caused by an employee not following guidelines outside of work.
