I have a lot of bad entertainment opinions, but I think my opinion of the Jim Carey Grinch being bad stands up to scrutiny. I see why people like it, I just hate watching it.

had to go to a gas station today. despite there being a statewide mask mandate there were 4 or 5 people unmasked, including the cashier. cool.

Yeah here in northwest Florida, I’m lucky if I see more than three people a day wearing masks

I'm in Atlanta and the bars are packed wherever I look... I'm also surrounded by coworkers who are 'over' masks and basically unless they're running into a gas station or grabbing lunch to go where it's quick, refusing to wear one. One is attending a big family wedding next week with who knows how many guests from who knows how many places, and another is attending a 10-15 person thanksgiving gathering. Others have travelled to Asheville and Denver for fun and gone to breweries, indoor shows etc. and another is taking a group of 10 kids to go see the Croods sequel. Here I am cancelling the few minimal plans I had and cautiously planning Christmas that will involve multiple precautionary covid tests, driving a long distance vs flying, and restrictions on what we're willing to do when we're with family (and even all that is tentative).

    PEOPLE ARE MAD.

  10. If I ever saw someone wearing a "Count all Legal Votes" shirt I absolutely would start laughing and not be able to stop.

Exact location for anyone who wants to be a dumbass: Google Maps

Based on satellite imagery, it's been there since 2015-2016.

edit: it was found by u/Bear__Fucker on reddit:
"I looked at rock type (Sandstone), color (red and white - no black streaks like found on higher cliffs in Utah), shape (more rounded indicating a more exposed area and erosion), the texture of the canyon floor (flat rock vs sloped indicating higher up in a watershed with infrequent water), and the larger cliff/mesa in the upper background of one of the photos. I took all that and lined it up with the flight time and flight path of the helicopter - earlier in the morning taking off from Monticello, UT and flying almost directly north before going off radar (usually indicating it dropped below radar scan altitude. From there, I know I am looking for a south/east facing canyon with rounded red/white rock, most likely close to the base of a larger cliff/mesa, most likely closer to the top of a watershed, and with a suitable flat area for an AS350 helicopter to land. Took about 30 minutes of random checks around the Green River/Colorado River junction before finding similar terrain. From there it took another 15 minutes to find the exact canyon. Yes... I'm a freak."

Also, as remote as that is... I'm pretty sure I've been to the Needles Overlook that's like 5 miles from there. Canyonlands is gorgeous.
