Sometimes when I want to get angry I read through the Genius interpretations of lyrics.

 

I wish Close to You was longer. That song into White Ferrari and Self Control are my favorite moments on this album that aren't Solo

 

I always find that makes me more embarrassed, personally.

 

Nao, Jamila Woods, King, Anderson.Paak, jeremih, DVSN, maxwell everything already mentioned

 

First impression was that this was "ok" we will see if I like it more when I get to sink into it

 

Maybe there is some truth to the fact that something else may be happening today..

Most of it just deals with the "two versions" situation. And somebody supposedly snapchatting Malay and asking him if there's another album and he responded with "Stay tuned". Possibly a remixed version of the same album? Then there's this whole "booty club" thing that Malay keeps talking about which to me sounds like some sort of tour or secret show because he also mentioned "tickets" to it. I think there's something more to come, I'm just not sure exactly what it is.

 

I can't deal with Reddit when a big album comes out, those people get so worked up it's ridiculous.

"Close to You" into "White Ferrari" is definitely going to be a highlight of the year in music.

agreed. probably my favorite so far.

 

Album's doing more for guitar than literally all indie rock this year.

Sure I'll get heat for that.

 

I like a lot of moments in the album, but need more time for it to settle in. The beach boys-y harmonies are the best parts. His voice is beautiful. That andre 3000 verse is impeccable. Seriously thw best rapper of all time. Only issue with this record so far is that its not nearly as catchy as his other stuff and more "sperimental" which isn't necessarily a bad thing but i do like his novacaine-esque tracks

 

Surprised I haven't seen more thinkpieces about "the year of gospel" between Ye, Chance and "Godspeed"
