You can't vote in a different state

 

Detroit/Windsor’s only alt rock station just flipped to country. I feel strangely sad even though i haven’t listened to radio in 10 years

She has said they were created by Hugo Chavez who rigged the election along with Soros’ assistant or something and also antifa did it. It’s insane, this woman is crazy I can’t believe this is real. She’s making Rudy seem measured.

The 8-12 year old Nathan whose parents wouldn't let him get parental advisory CDs and sat through hourlong blocks of mostly numetal and buttrock hoping to hear one blink-182 song, or maybe, if I were lucky, Sum 41 and Green Day too, is pouring out a Capri Sun in remembrance.

In all seriousness 89X was a really cool station and while I was listening, waiting for blink-182, I also first heard Joy Division, Jimmy Eat World, Talking Heads, Oasis, the Cure, and the only three or four good Taking Back Sunday songs, among other cool stuff, so it is a bummer.

 

Still waiting for these "Biden Rigged the elections" to explain why democrats could've won 30 more house seats, 3 more senate seats, and carried a few more states and the results would've been perfectly with reason for what the polling was showing and thus given zero reason to suspect anything was rigged.

 

This takes me back to when I worked for Y100 in Philly when it switched to gospel. Sucks.

89X shaped my music taste growing up. My mom played it all the time.

 

Yep. It is about that common, considering neither exist

 

Once I hit ages like, 13-16, 89X was a lot of Three Days Grace, Hinder, stuff I wasn't especially into, and when I tuned in recently I could always count on hearing multiple Twenty One Pilots songs on my 15 minute drive to the grocery store, which is why I stopped tuning in. But yeah, still a bummer.

 

I miss the true alt stations of the 90s...we have an alt station in our area but it's pretty much Twenty One Pilots, Halsey, Billie Eilish, and Imagine Dragons.

Hearing the Violent Femmes, Beastie Boys, Rancid, Fiona Apple, PJ Harvey, and Arrested Development in a single radio block wasn't uncommon back then.

That's pretty much what alternative is now - not a whole lot of rock, but a lot of like the big, electronic-driven pop. Not saying it's bad or trying to come off as some kind of rock purist, but the traditional guitars-bass-drum sound on the radio is dead unless it's a classic rock station.
