  1. I don't disagree, but I also just personally like to state explicitly that I realize where my feelings on the matter fall on the "this is important" scale about these things. It doesn't put me out at all to do that, and since you never know where someone's survivors may be online... point is, I don't personally need to be reassured on that front. Well said though!

A Day to Remember Bassist Releases Statement on Sexual Assault Allegations

Josh Woodard. He's most known for a specific incident where he assaulted an underage fan but apparently more people have come forward. The band has swept it under the rug and has largely refused to address or comment on it and Josh is still in the band.

Great points, some of which I hadn't considered myself. And apologies if I sounded presumptive, LOL.

It'd be so easy to kick him out of the band, I guess they know they can get away with it.

Ya it's not a hard thing to do. Like. NFG did it so swiftly.

Im not the best with cancel culture...I have no problem stopping with listening to these guys with new things but I feel like it's ok to listen to their older stuff, like pre-allegation. It's not the best approach but I'll keep working on it.

It is frustrating that we are having this discussion here about not supporting them and how frustrating it is they aren’t kicking him out yet on the other side we have the new album announcement being posted via a news post on here. It’s just a bit annoying. Sometimes I feel like what’s discussed in this thread goes against what the website promotes and this is a clear example of that.

I’ve always said, listen to what you feel you need to in private in regards to problematic artists. The issues have always stemmed from public promotion and praise of said artist.
And yeah, it’s extremely frustrating to see these discussions and then see the same artist promoted in a news post.

A news article posted without even so much as a mention of the allegations in the text of the article, no less. Not even a disclaimer or something just saying "Hey, by the way, this band proudly counts among its members a credibly accused abuser."

And also, yeah ADTR was an enormously important band for me during my teenage and young adult years but once these allegations came out, and they defiantly refused to do anything about them, I dropped the band immediately. It sucks and it hurts to see people you looked up to reveal who they really are, but they aren't worthy of our support anymore.

Perfect example for me is B**** N**, Kanye, and Pinegrove. All three of those artists meant a lot to me. So many memories associated with Kanye alone. It’s hard to not listen to BN when the seasons change for me. Though I’m sure it’s even harder for survivors to even see that name.

I get the feeling he didn't really take this to heart. As far as I know, he did stop working with Towkio and Joey Purp. But yeah, working with Herbo pretty much spits in the face of this tweet.

Honestly feel like we have gone nowhere since the whole Machine Gun Kelly discussion, which was a whole argument on how to deal with talking about bands with abusers in them on here. Quite unfortunate. What many people were arguing for in that thread not to happen in the future is literally happening (a band with an abuser being promoted without context to the allegations).

    Hold on, MGK has allegations?

(I’m not a fan, just never heard of this before)

No allegations, actual things he publicly did and continues to defend - his very inappropriate lusting of minors

A Day To Remember fucks with Ronnie Radke still, so yeah. Josh isn't getting kicked out the band.

So many people still work with Ronnie Radke and it's honestly disgusting. It reminds me of how many YouTubers still appear in videos with P*wDiePie. Like... Stop hanging out with them. Do these people just not care or are they too afraid of the backlash to cutting ties?

Is it really even just money, though, to be honest? There are so many people out there to work and collaborate with that don't have allegations against them that can easily fill the financial void. It really seems like even money-wise it'd be no skin off people's asses to not work with them.

I feel like it's gotta just boil down to dudebro culture.
