The harsh reality is some other label will quickly pick Morrissey up.

and he’s not an abuser per se but Chance’s continuation to give Kanye a platform/hype him up is...not great.

Towkio and Joey Purp had allegations too that Chance definitely knows about, I haven't seen much of them lately but who knows

Around the time that R Kelly documentary came out i remember Chance making a statement (or maybe just some tweets...) about how he shouldn't have worked with Kelly and should have listened to and respected Black women more. Glad to see he's really following through :eyeroll:

I had no idea G Herbo had allegations, that's very unfortunate

  15. Amber Rose may feel different. (Typically you don't consistently refer to an important ex as a bully for no reason.) Not interested in starting the conversation on this site of all places but it's worth noting in this context.

I would personally label him an abuser. Esp after he publicly outed Kim’s abortion discussion.

It’s strange because they took a long delay in announcing the album apparently because they were unhappy with the album cover, which clearly they were using to try and let the situation blow over. Well fortunately that didn’t happen because a lot of folks I know aren’t bothering with them anymore. I’m not expecting them to be better either though.

I know they definitely don't/won't care but Fueled By Ramen needs to be asked loudly and often why they're ok having that guy in one of their biggest bands.

Of all the bands and artists I've dropped due to housing abusers I think ADTR is the one that stings the most. Fuck those bastards.

  21. I know what you mean. It ultimately doesn't matter cuz it ain't about anyone but the people they hurt directly, but I adored this band when I was a teen which adds a fun layer of "this hurts" when you consider what they evidently thought of fans like me that whole time.

Agreed. And for what it's worth, I personally don't think it's unfair for us to air out our own hurt feelings regarding artists we loved that prey on people. So long as we don't center ourselves in the conversation or bring it up around their victims I think it's a valid conversation to engage in. Music is made for us to form emotional connections to and when we find out something we have that bond with did something so awful, it's hard not feel how we feel regardless. I dunno. The victims come first and foremost but as the saying goes, feelings are what they are; what matters is how you behave with them.
