I have no doubt pundits will latch onto these arguments. The problem is this article equates rational with individual and short term self interest. It ignores that this philosophy of voting also fails at empathy and often longer term democratic goals.

I don't have a much better answer when the Senate is obstructing everything, but giving more unchecked power to a branch of government that may be ruled by Republicans in two years sounds risky

 

Gerrymandering continues to be an issue but the House is much more reflective of the will of the people than the Senate. Giving the house more power than the senate would be a good thing in that regard

Fuck, my car needs some expensive repairs after inspection, and it kinda seems like buying a new car is my best option, but... test driving cars in a pandemic when I can't even have windows open in the cold sounds extremely sketchy. Anyone have to do something like that this year?

 

Carvana ? I think they drop off cars and you get a time period to test drive them... it’s a good option unless you’re wanting to test drive a ton of different models.

We bought a used car from a dealership pretty much 100% remote, no test drive, etc. But it was still relatively new (2017 i think?) with low mileage and from an official Subaru dealership so was less worried about getting a lemon
