As a percussionist of 15 years, probably one of the reasons why I'm not enjoying this.

 

just want to clarify that I wasn't comparing vibes/content/importance when I brought up TPAB. I was comparing it because the first time I heard that album it filled me with excitement for the possibilities that music can still achieve, which is what I felt just now. It's a really good feeling.

 

God I would love to have the chance. Why doesn't frank love Ireland

especially in this market, we don't really see a lot of music that doesn't bring rhythm to the forefront so it's exciting.

 

Do we have any idea how different the physical is besides the different tracklist? Wondering if the songs are all different versions too, like the two versions of Nikes we have.

 

are the magazines gonna be at the apple stores?

 

Hard to comment on this really, after a listen. Blatant standout moments are few and far between, but I can already tell I'll enjoy this more with every passing listen. It's quite a dense record despite it's minimalism.

 

so the album version of nikes doesn't have the lower vocals?

 

With all of the improbable releases this year, that Andre 3000 feature makes me wish he would release a solo album just to be the cherry on top.

As soon as I first heard Monks on the last album, I lost my mind. The intricate beat drove the song which lead me listening to the song more and more and I was hooked. Nothing is hooking me like that this go 'round. :(

Yeah I'm enjoying the tone/melodies much more than CO

 

My girlfriend lives in Brooklyn and as soon as I showed her the pop-up shop flyer she texted me "putting my shoes on now". Took the subway and waited in line for two hours to get me a magazine. She's the best. This album is everything I ever wanted it to be. Good God, I can't believe this is all happening.
