I won’t spend more than 1000€ on a TV, preferably less (600-700)

 

Then my recommendation to you is to wait until the LG B9 is at a price you deem tolerable. It has every feature. (120hz, VRR, OLED, HDR, 4K). The 55 inch model is 1.200 as of today and obviously it will only get cheaper.

Everyone else keep buying the c9/cx like you already are lol. (It gets 20% brighter than the b9 and the design itself is a smidge nicer)

if you are hell bent on spending less than 600, there’s a genuinely incredible Samsung TV they update every year for under 600-700 euros even for a 65”.
The reason it’s so cheap is it’s littered with ads (that you can turn off LOL)

it goes on sale frequently so watch out for that. I bought my 58 inch for 450 in 2018.

stuff like apex and movies will look great on it, and with a little fiddling around with the settings you can make dark games like resident evil 2 look quite passable too, but obviously you’re not gonna have 120hz, VRR or the color black.

 

Yeah I do want 120hz definitely, otherwise I might as well not upgrade. Thanks man.

 

VRR will get just as important to even out the dips because most devs will not be able to get a locked 120.

 

I’m going to go on record here and say we will not see a lot of 120fps games that’s isn’t the odd esports focused title. Maybe halo infinite mp and like whatever next years equivalent to bugsnax is.

yeah that's what I am saying, if you want 120 fps you should also make sure it has VRR (it's basically like freesync / gsync), it evens out the frame timings in case a game has a variable frame rate up to a 120 fps so it always looks smooth even though it technically isn't :)

 

So basically that LG TV is the baseline for a future proof TV?

Still no xbox. I've talked to amazon Friday, yesterday, and today and their only response is "it will come today before 8pm" and of course it doesn't. Even though amazon contracts with the carriers they take no responsibility. Someone probably took it off the truck and is playing it right now lol. I'd cancel the order but you can't get them anywhere, so I have to just hope it shows up eventually.
