That's assuming the rest of the ballots in those states are the same margin as everything previously reported. Being that the remaining ballots are mail-in, that should push them a little more in favor for Biden.

Going along with this, a slight update on NYT for Georgia. Margin is down to 18,100 with a report from Sumter County. Looks like they cut the distance by about 400ish votes (chart expected it'd be by 12).

I did think of that. Looks like with another 9 points in every county (seems a little aggressive in the Trump counties) he might barely get over the hump. I guess I just don't see it.

I'm actually about to start clepping courses to get my associates in meteorology. I'm pretty good at math and science and I figure if I work a little bit at studying could probably breeze through them.

I've always been super interested in weather patterns to the point where I used to have a map on my wall where I would write in the little hurricane symbol and track them by putting in the latitude and longitude when I was in the 5th grade. Then I lived through a category 5 and started to hyper focus on the weather to the point where I know I would wake up happier everyday if this was my job as opposed to what I am doing now. I don't hate what I'm doing by any means and teaching math to children is incredibly satisfying I just know this would make me happier.

So, if you have any helpful hints, words of encouragement, or advice I would greatly appreciate it.

(Sorry for the weird random post about meteorology in the politics thread)

Georgia is going to come down to about 1,000 votes, isn't it?

If both GA senate seats are up for a run-off, i think Dems need to go all-out on the “we’ve seen what Mitch McConnell’s response to covid looks like, vote for these two people so we can actually address this challenge” narrative, and tie in that Perdue and Loeffler are crooks who got richer off their constituents getting sick. All-out blitz.

Of course, that assumes Biden/Dems actually want control of the senate.

I really wish I saw the same trends in the PA data everyone else is seeing

since I started tracking Election Night Hub – sixty-six wards at around 9 AM, the final lead its projecting for Biden has gone down from ~100k to ~85k. Remaining EV has gone from ~480k to ~416k. So they are decreasing at about the same rate.

Could just be one bad set of data throwing it off (that model was super bullish on Montgomery, expecting like 85% of the mail in vote and only getting 70%), so if that is an outlier we're fine. But if its a sign of stuff to come...

    I can't be confident

also doesn't help that ballot estimtes seem to be off. Presidential Processional - PA - Google Drive estimates 436,711 ballots left. But PA site (showing the same vote data) has 2196487 mail in ballots counted and 2600691 in total which is only
    404204

Hopefully we get some better data over the next hour or so

Idk it’s hard to compare a candidate whose ability to concisely explain their policies to the wide electorate stacks up against a candidate who is incapable of doing so really.

I just think Bernie’s relentless energy and drive to help us could have won people over who saw Biden and Trump’s just total lack of leadership for the first like five/six months of the pandemic.

    who knows though.
