How the results came in has shaped how I feel about everything. I am not even sure what I feel at the moment. It’s weird. Have a meeting now. So many more thoughts to come though.

How the hell did Republicans go from moderately ridiculous to batshit crazy in 4 years? Like, how the hell does a man with the emotional and mental maturity of a 14 year old so hopped on puberty that his nipples feel like they’ll fall off convince half the country that everything is a lie and he’s their only savior?

Michigan is good for the Presidential, the longer we go the Senate race is looking more iffy at least to me. Though I live here and fucking hate John James so I could be over worried.

 

Because half the country are marks and also Trump was able to give a shameless voice to all the fucked up racist shit they had been holding in for 8 years under a black president.

Good. He’s in the strongest position imo.

 

If he decides to start playing to that crowd he'll win their support, especially if Trump himself doesn't run again. He's smart enough to manipulate those people. And the white nationalist/alt-right crowd will be working over time to help that happen. He's their best chance to smuggle actual fascism into the White House. Plus normie Republicans will love him because he's a veteran and also a "normal"-seeming "true conservative" candidate they can rally behind. He can appeal to all facets of the rightwing electorate.

 

If Biden wins the election (and does not seek a second term) or even if Trump (unfortunately) wins the election, who do you all think the Dems should nominate in 2024? AOC?

AOC is a long way off from running. I would be almost certain it will be Kamala. The whole establishment will rally around her (depending on 2022, I suppose) because she will be VP.

 

I love AOC as much as I can love a politician but jesus christ i'm gonna need a fucking break and a constant Xanax IV drip before I deal with her running for president.

Also, AOC should be the next Pelosi/Schumer.
