Yeah Biden won, Trump can make noise but I don't think it'll be close enough for anything to matter.

All that matters is the Senate, this might be a huge win for the Republicans who lose Trump and can completely shut down any attempts for Liberals to legislate, then blame them for getting nothing done. Dream scenario for them, terrible position for a new government.

Hoping some of the races can break and we can at least get a tie.

Biden has won Wisconsin despite the recount that Trump will ask for. Looks like Biden will win Michigan. Good chance Biden win's PA once all the votes are counted. He's still in the race in Georgia but it could go either way.

We're just waiting to make sure that something absurd didn't happen in Nevada now.

Spoke to my HS Juniors just now. Middle of Trump country, Missouri. They're against voting in 2024, because the options we're given are always 'awful'.

As it stands right now, if Trump hangs on in Georgia and North Carolina and Biden wins Michigan like it looks like he will, then all Biden has to do is win Nevada or Pennsylvania. Trump has to win both Nevada AND Pennsylvania to win at this point, again assuming he wins GA and NC and Biden wins MI.

So I could be wrong here but the percentage of vote breaking to Peters is not as big as I was expecting so that's something to watch here. Still under 10k

I am home from dialysis. It was eerily quiet. The staff starts their day usually 3-330am and so I'm sure they already saw overnight changes. I quite enjoyed my time there today haha. And the guy next to me wasn't there so there wasn't Fox News blaring in my ear.

    Seems like a teachable moment!

    (1) emphasize that voting is just one form of political action.
    (2) remind them that they can vote in primaries to get better general election candidates; and
    (3) emphasize that local elections often feature a lot better candidates (maybe even a few of them could run!) and more directly impact their lives. Even if presidential elections seem like a lost cause, that isn't the only thing on the ballot! There are clear victories from last night on that front to highlight.
