Judging by his body language and the tone of his voice, I think he knows the end is nigh. That is not a confident man right there.

Bold predictions:

Trump loses, spends two to three weeks crying and then gives up.
Trump skips out on the inauguration and pouts, he doesn’t even write a letter for Biden.
NY announces charges, Trump tries to flee but due to Covid-19, he can’t leave the country.

I don't think he expected to win last time, so I have no faith in his confidence being any indicator of how this will go.

 

I'm thinking ~158-160m vote total this year.

 

I feel relatively okay right now. We'll see how that goes.

One thing that still worries me in the back of my head that no one talks about is all the reports of Russian hackers accessing state vote rolls and, possibly, being able to change results on voting machines. Feels like that has been an underappreciated danger this year

 

it's true I've seen every single looter carry a big tray of radishes

 

taking the NYT sample (Trump gets 90% of republican vote, 4% of dem vote, 37% of NPA vote, Biden gets 91% of the dem vote, 8% of republican vote, and 47% of the NPA vote) and extrapolating rest of the ED vote... bodes reasonable well for Biden he's still up 100-150k when all is said and done and these early ed numbers quite possibly skew republican.

But there are a few caveats. Still a bunch of refused to say/undecided voters, especially among independents. Those break 2:1 for Trump and he has a small lead. Also the makeup of "republicans voting election day" doesn't match the makeup of "republicans voting" -- the ones voting Biden could easily have voted early. Also I'm just assuming "Republicans gained this many voters in the first 4.5 hours, so they'll gain a similar number in the next 6.5" which ignores the counties that don't report. So really all my numbers are dumb and you should probably ignore them.

So its really very close. Certainly gonna come down to how many republicans deflect, and how much Biden wins the independents.

Oh I know but I’m just saying still, that is not the look of someone who think he has nothing to worry about.
