None of these fill me with much confidence. Doesn't a lot of polling show Trump doing a lot better on election day?

Those percentages of what Trump needs to win in every battleground state are not good for Biden at all, especially the PA number.

 

Of course election day should be a national holiday but it is also insane to expect any normal human to be productive at work today.

Not paying attention to anything in FL until Duval, Broward, Miami Dade, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Orange, and Osceola counties start getting tallied. High turnout in any of those counties can be enough to flip the state.

My sister is in downtown Orlando and said the line at the polling place near her house was wrapped a few blocks around. Just one piece of anecdotal evidence, but not a bad start for Orange County!

 

My honest opinion - if this is an otherwise reasonably intelligent adult human being - is that this person is being purposefully obtuse, and likely got very caught up in the sentiment drummed up by the constant stream of bullshit being peddled on Fox News about mail-in voting being fraudulent. The tactic they employ is extremely effective.

If you could get an honest answer out of him about that second piece of mail I don't think he truly thinks it is a second ballot. I could be wrong though.

 

I also live very close to downtown. Left my place shortly before seven and there were already lines forming at the church a half-block away. I am leaving work early (around 2) and I'm hoping to see lines on my way home.

No shit. Just a half a block from Amelia. My wife and I are just north of Lake Eola. I know Altamonte all too well. I grew up in Apopka so naturally, we had to go elsewhere to actually do something. The mall was usually our weekend destination in high school.

 

I got a job at a different brewery about a month ago and I'm going over potential bars/restaurants for distribution and my boss has said like "nah, they're bigots, fuck them" towards like 5 different accounts. The joys of being in a trump-ish county.
