Curse of Frankenstein tonight

 

The Witches remake was cute and whimsical. It wasn’t that spooky, but worked for the direction they went in. Sorta thought the ending was fucked up.

I’m watching old Elvira Movie Macabre on Peacock.

 

Slightly horror related but I'm watching the Ice Nine Kills stream right now and they got Bill Moseley to host it, it's very scripted but pretty cool.

 

Yo I was zoning out and then the one shot of the closeups of all the kid’s shit on the table blew me away!

 

I liked it so much I’m rolling straight into Horror of Dracula

 

I’ve never watched a Hammer film. Idk why. They always look super serious and kinda boring to me

 

The invisible man from this year was really well done. We enjoyed it.

 

House on Haunted Hill did not hold up at all for me. Granted I was probably 10 or 11 years old the last time I watched it, but it just was not good.

I always initially read anything about House on Haunted Hill as The Haunting of Hill House now and it throws me for a loop every time.

Going into Hill House I had read that there had been an early 00s movie based on the same book so I just assumed it was Haunted Hill.

I was truly shocked to discover that it was in fact a separate movie staring Liam Neeson and Owen Wilson

 

Somehow completely forgot I had seen The Dream Child before. Bad writing and acting, but the set design and special effects were honestly insane. Some of the best kills yet. I was pleasantly surprised!

If I want to watch the Halloween franchise without including every movie, how would I go about doing that? Original Halloween is obvious, but where do I go after that? Just the ones with Jamie Lee Curtis? Help! Thank you!

 

Halloween 2 definitely. 3 is irrelevant to the series (no Michael) but it rules. I don't really like 4-6 but they have the character of Jaime in them and the dumb cult shit, if you want more mythology. H20 has JLC returning and cuts out everything but 1-2 which is fine. Rezzo is a joke but fun if you want trash. The Zombie films ARE GOOD AND YOU SHOULD WATCH THEM.

The remake was whatever.

 

Awesome - I appreciate it. I liked the Zombie films a lot, myself. I just never really got into this franchise and would like to watch them in some sort of order of relevance, if you will.

 

IMO the "essential" ones are 1-2 and then 3 just because it's fun. A lot of people disagree haha

 

finally watching Fright Night

 

Works for me - From what I was reading it was going to be Halloween, II, H2O and Resurrection. The original and II will work for now so I can get other movies in as well.
