i have found most people of an uber-religious background, especially a christian one, feel that way. it’s exceedingly dumb and bad.

Yeah I got the impression that when Zac left originally, it was due to being really young and feeling like he should be loyal to family, but he does not seem to align himself with those views at all

Good on Hayley for speaking out and good riddance to the trash.

 

Jeremy is a deadbeat dad and a burnout Trump supporter. Zac is estranged from Josh and hardly ever sees him. Josh has always sucked and the only reason ppl ever sided with him was ~misogyny.

 

The amount of men that owe Hayley an apology is a staggeringly long list.

I hope with each and every statement she makes she's finding strength and vindication because she's been through hell and back as a woman, and as a woman in this scene in particular bore the brunt of the vitriol from many (mostly male) voices about all this. She deserves evey ounce of goodness in this world and beyond.

 

Let's also take a moment to appreciate that Hayley used her voice and platform to write songs on BNE calling out this shit ("ignorance is your new best friend") and then Josh dropped that awful statement later in the album cycle using his religion as a weapon against her like he had some moral high ground and she's been dealing with that for 10 years, dude's been trash this whole time and I hope everybody who defended him, Jeremy and the rest eat dirt.
