Now I’m wondering why he is playing

We’ve absolutely destroyed these lads second half. They’ve barely gotten a sniff and a Rashford hat trick off the bench.

Thank god that’s over with. An absolute shower of shite that would struggle in league 2 never mind the championship. And they still beat us 3-0.

Stolen from Reddit: somebody told Rashford that Gulasci is a tory lol.

I mean, all of these matches are just the pre amble to the real big match this week, when Arsenal take on the true giants, the unstoppable juggernaut, the footballing machine that is Dundalk.

Oh shit Arsenal are in Dundalks group? That’s great. Shame there’s no fans.

Fwiw, Dundalks ground is horrendous. They’ve gotten so much money the last few years but refuse to upgrade the stadium. The pitch is astroturf and a killer. I played on it when I was younger and hated it.

    Dundalk, pff. Drogheda United forever.

Drogheda is such an awful town. There’s been a gang war going on involving that town for nearly 4 years now. It’s got it’s own Wikipedia page and all :crylaugh:

Thought Manchester United was gonna have trouble getting out of the group but six points from PSG and RB. Plus a +6 GD. I’m pretty good shape

Have read this Wikipedia page and am now fully "down the rabbit hole" as they say, reading articles like "how ruthless Dublin hitman Robbie Lawlor met his shocking demise" while I'm at work lol

Yeah it's absolutely wild. The Keane Mulready-Woods murder was absolutely shocking. The Hutch-Kinahan feud is crazy as well. There was someone killed about a 5 minute walk from my job a few years ago in a case of mistaken identity.

There are three real joys in football.

    1) A debut goal

    2) An outfield player going in goal

    3) A goalkeeper going up for a corner and causing chaos

So let me present this example of the third, from the Dutch top division.

Think reading about that Hutch-Kinahan feud will take up the rest of my day :crylaugh:

I've been to Ireland once a couple years ago, went to Dublin & Galway which were both lovely, but stayed mostly In Limerick - went to one bar where they literally removed all windows and all bar stools at 11pm to stop them being used by drunk people kicking off later in the night lmao.

It had some very nice areas from what I can remember - probably had the best meal I have ever had in a bar/restaurant called The Locke Bar I think - but also some areas which stood out as particularly bleak. I remember going past the prison and thinking it was the most depressing building I'd ever seen lol
