Today I learned that GOP stands for Grand Ol’ Party. Holy shit that’s lame. Anyway, expand the court.

Hopefully this sham confirmation galvanizes an even stronger democrat vote next week

Just had a casual conversation with the manager at the Taco Bell near me about how this country is ran by failures and that they better expand the courts lmao

I am shocked at the number of people I know who previously I don’t believe had any real interest in politics who were following this fiasco and now talking about court packing. I believe it’s gonna have an impact

Realistically, what are the chances of democrats making any major changes now? Even if Biden wins and they get the senate back republicans can just use their conservative courts to challenge every law. If Biden even tries a public option you think this Supreme Court won’t declare it unconditional somehow?

Most likely, which is why they need to expand the court.

The author of this piece is pretty naive about how SCOTUS can hand trump the election lol

Like, that’s pretty much exactly how it could potentially happen. It’s not some absurdity that is outside the realm of possibility.

The reason why nobody contested the close results of 2016 in WI, MI, and PA is *because Trump won*. If Biden were to win the election in the same way, by a similar margin across those same states, Trump is going to challenge it and it will go to the Supreme Court. And what does this dude think is going to happen then? Lol

See, I agree with the concept that McConnell rammed through ACB because it doesn’t matter whether Trump loses so long as he preserves conservative control of the courts. But that doesn’t mean he didn’t also confirm her this quickly in order to help Trump get re-elected. He obviously doesn’t WANT Trump to lose. He just doesn’t care if ramming through ACB winds up contributing to Trump losing the election.
