Completely agree. While I don't mind KOTW, I don't understand why they don't play SOOHM every night especially since they keep saying it's going to be the next single. Really confused by it.

 

Maybe Mark just REALLY likes playing it. (Side note I think my date is the only date that didn't get Kings. It was on the set list but at sound check no one could agree on wishing well or Mms when asked what they should play. They played wishing well, and then replaced kings with MMs in the set lol)

 

I really don't get the hate for kings of the weekend lol. Has that box car racer riff

I love blink. But I can't say I love all their songs. I love 98% of them though.

 

I was just kidding. Although I'm stretched to find one I dislike lol. Sure I like some way more then others but I can't think of one I actually go "ugghhhhh" to

KOTW is definately the worst real song from Cali.

 

I feel like I would have jammed kings of the weekend in college before going out on a Friday night. It's definitely bottom 5 song on the record. I can't get over how bad I find the lyrics on the song California are. I know, the lyrics aren't great really anywhere on the album. But the perfect weather/inside together line is garbage.

 

I think "First Date" might hold that title for me. Don't know what it is but I can't stand that song.

I'm in the same boat, although I find it hard to listen to pre Dude Ranch blink minus a handful of songs from Buddha and Cheshire Cat. Usually there are only 1 or 2 songs per album that I will skip unless I'm in the mood to hear it or listening to the album straight thru.

 

for real, on an album of shitty Mark performances, it's probably his worst.

 

I am thinking about going to Taking Back Sunday, Kevin Devine or MewithoutYou in October if you want to see any of those.
