Is Mitch's line of thinking based on their hoped for outcome of Republicans retaining control of the Senate? Or if Dems took control of the Senate, that they wouldn't "dare" expand the courts?

 

100% the latter. He is basically shoving it in their faces that they’d never do it.

 

In northern MI, I saw a house with a sign the size of a billboard on the lawn. It had a picture of a regular sized Trump sign and said “You can steal my sign, but not my vote.” Kudos to whoever stole the shithead’s sign.

 

I believe AOC will become president some day because she's emblematic of the change coming to the Democratic party.

Cenk Uygur has said this way more elegantly than me, but basically, it costs millions of dollars to start a new presidential party and even get them to Green Party levels of success. But running progressive candidates all up & down the ballot within the Democratic party has proved way more successful.

The Democratic Party Establishment is at its last breath, so whatever they scream into the ether won't matter. AOC should run for Senate first though, and start coalition building there.

 

Here’s the thing - if Biden wins, it kinda means the democratic establishment is here to stay for a while :/

The “Establishment” side of the party just beat Bernie. It’s just as alive as it has ever been. Tom Perez is in charge. AOC/Ilhan/Tliab are still very big outliers. I don’t get where you’re getting this idea that they are on their last breath. Just because many of the big name leaders are literally old doesn’t mean there’s not plenty of others just as willing to fill those roles

 

I mean, Biden has even refered to himself as a "transition candidate"
