funny(well not really) shower thought I just had: all these right wingers are convinced Dems are just keeping their states “locked down” for political reasons and once November 3rd hits it’s all gonna go away....but I am willing to bet money we see new lock downs initiated after the election and that a few states would totally roll back some of their openings right now but the Dem governors don’t want to make the narrative of the last 10 days before the election become “Dems doing more lockdowns”.

So yeah it’s politics, but it’s not doing what right wingers think it’s doing lol.

 

Can scroll back a few pages to see my posts on how Illinois is already putting in restrictions on a regional basis, but because a few regions are just shy of 8% positivity they won't get the lockdown until they cross that threshold, which is asinine when every single region is north of 7%

Yeah the city has already said they don't. At this rate almost every single region, at least around Chicago, is going to be rolled back at this time next weekend, but seems like it'll be too late to make a difference.

 

meh, I stand by it. Our society tends to associate men with being immature and such and uses that to excuse their behavior many times when it shouldn’t be excused, but also just associates them with stuff like this lol. I think the flip side of that is that people (including Dylan in that tweet) kind of forget that it’s not just men who do dumb immature things (even just small things like annoy their spouses with Borat quotes lol). I doubt he meant to not be inclusive of gay women or just women spouses in general there. Just the reflexive mindset that’s been built in by years of conditioning (of which I was guilty of myself too, I also thought of the dudes who do it first when I saw her tweet)

 

I am surprised we don’t just get a “you know, socialists” with a wink and a nod from right wingers anymore
