It hasn't started for a couple of reason.

1) I can't even get into the game. I pre-ordered it online and have EA access. As of last night, some people that did both of those are still having issues with that and of course I'm one of them. EA is shit. Has been and always will be.

2) As we have for the past year or 2 we waited until the first roster update close to the actual release date. Usually they release one on day one or a few days beforehand. Thats how it was done last year. This year is no different. People have always bitched about wanting me to wait until Sept for the official first roster. That won't happen. It'll get going by day one.

 

If you have EA Access and it's not showing up that's because there is still another screen you have to enter to download it.

You go into EA Access, find and enter Madden 17 and then in there, there is another box that says Game Info or something like that and then you download it.

Also I don't recall waiting for any roster update because the last few years I remember starting it during the EA Access period and then advancing to the actual regular season when the game officially dropped. We used the EA Access period for teams to register and play through preseason if they so chose.

Maybe I'm off on that but anyway the download wasn't showing up for me in EA Access until I entered that additional screen and then it popped up.

 

I know what you're talking about, but mine does not have the option. Won't give me that option. I have a secondary profile and I can get in there, but it never gives me the option for the trial on my ATLBraves one. I contacted them last night. They said it was an issue for some. Hopefully they've fixed it by tonight.

We did start it in the trial period last year, but I didn't create the league day one of it. It was on the Sunday or Monday before it dropped because they did the roster update that day. It was the only reason I waited until then because some were whining about it. Then we did a week of preseason. I didn't advance to the regular season week 1 either because I gave the non-trial guys a chance to get the game and join. We played 2 or 3 weeks of preseason and then we advanced to the regular season. I believe I advanced it on the first Friday.
