the more i use the magic keyboard for my iPad, the more i resent my macbook keyboard

 

Anyone finding that Recently Added on iPad OS Apple Music doesn’t actually let you go back to recently added? It just stays on the most recent album I played. Hope this is just a glitch.

 

Took one of Federico’s wallpapers and made it fit my boring ass style a little better, ha.

 

So should the 12 still take good portrait mode photos without the telephoto camera? How does the 11 stack up vs the 11 Pro

 

The standard iPhone 12? It will. But I think only of people and pets, not objects. It does it quite well. The 11 takes portrait photos via software, where the 11 Pro does with it the telephoto lens. You obviously won’t get the 2x zoom that 11 Pro/12 Pro portrait photos can offer.

 

My wife has the 11 and I have the Pro - both are good but the one thing that makes all the difference for me is the Night Mode when taking photos. Only thing my wife wishes her 11 had. (12 gets Night Mode though, which is good news!). Portrait Mode should also be fine with out telephoto as you’ll likely be fairly close to your subject. (If you’re anything like me and that means pictures of dog, beer, food, haha)

 

Really hope some Tech folk have been sent models to do a hands on before pre-order. Can’t decide between Graphite and Silver.

 

Yeah I've been waiting for the MKBHD or Unbox Therapy video, but I'm not too hopeful so close to the release date..

 

usually the hands-on / unboxing stuff happens the week of the actual release

in years past when events were allowed to have an audience we got immediate hands on photos and stuff so that's missing which sucks

 

Did the little pre-approval thing for the Iphone upgrade program and decided on the 12 Pro in blue. Usually get the Max but i'm switching it up this year.

Yeah the lack of post event hands on made me hope they’d give some folk them earlier than usual. Think I’ll need to pull the trigger on Silver this time.

my wife's company is ordering her a pacific blue 12 pro - I think that's the color I'm going for too. I dunno I love how shiny the enclosure is on the gold one haha

 

I think I'm going to go Pro as well. It's 128GB, plus with trade in it'll be less than $900.

 

Do y'all download at lot of music or something? I don't think I've ever needed more than 64GB, ha. I stream all of my music though these days.

(Just checked and I'm currently using 19GB on my phone ... lol.)

sweet. I knew it was mentioned the otehr day but I just didn't want to make a mistake.

 

I'm currently taking up 97 GB out of 122 GB and don't have much music on my phone at all lol. I have lots of photos, video, and like over 200 apps though

 

I'm using 55 of my 64GB currently. A lot of it is pictures (both taken and shared via text) and videos. I think I have less than 10 albums downloaded off Spotify as my emergency backup.

 

I pay $1/mo for the 50GB iCloud storage and I'm using 21GB of that, so maybe that's why my on-device storage is so low. But that's still only 40GB total. I know everyone is different though! I have some 50 apps total, and I've got 1,500 photos between on-device storage and iCloud storage. I also routinely delete unused apps, photos, etc.

 

Oh I am a TOTAL phone hoarder, and being able to just swap my SD card between Android phones for literal years doesn't help clean up all that clutter lol. I have some oooold files on here

 

Got set up for the Pacific Blue 12 Pro through the Apple Store App. I put trade my XS Max and it says 370 is the value if in good condition. Any one think thats a good trade value? No one in my household needs it and would just collect dust. Im not savvy with Offer Up or anything like that to sell it but may be an option.

 

I have 6,500 photos and 277 videos. That doesn't include ones via text.

 

Dang. Yeah, I clean out my photos and videos like once a month just to get rid of things I don't want or need to see anymore. And I very rarely even take video as my life stands right now. I'm sure when I have a kid I'll be doing that more.
