My Portland social media feeds have been pure chaos this week.

 

It's definitely getting worse. People are going back inside, schools are open, sports are happening...we're dumb as fuck.

Worst part is, in a month when we're at a third hospitalization/death peak the president will either be fresh off a victory which he uses to justify is coronavirus approach; in the middle of a legal fight to try and hang out to the presidency that keeps him too busy to do anything about coronavirus; or pouting in his room after being defeated too lazy and vindictive to actually do his job anymore

I find the argument that "X city where civil rights abuses happened has democrat elected officials and therefore voting doesn't matter and you shouldn't vociferously encourage people to do it" to be really gross, counteproductive, and self-servingly cynical. Truly equally if not more offensive than invoking the name of a dead man in service of a political cause.

Like, you completely invalidate a the efforts of so many well intentioned people trying to turn the tides of a rigged system that has its tentacles in every level of government because the high level democrats that you know of didn't fix everything so what's the point?? That shit is maddeningly ignorant. What about the DA's? What about the district court judges? what about the sheriffs? Anti-electorialism for the sake of a fucking dunk on twitter give me a break

 

And yet you would think Biden didn't have a dime to his name with how desperate his emails and texts have been to me haha. Literally getting multiple texts per day
