You can't say you'll ban fracking even if you want to. It'll get turned against you as anti-oil and as a job killer. You'd get killed for that.

 

What’s wrong with being anti-oil? And one the main purposes of the GND is to make up for job losses. It’d be better for the sake of the planet and for the party to start defending good policies

 

Being anti-oil is dumb because a majority of Americans are fucking idiots and are extremely pro-oil.

Am I wrong is that the Biden position is that they will not expand fracking but allow what is currently being done to exist? I thought I read they would potentially add new regulations to them as well but I could be wrong on this second point.

I don’t think it’s true that most Americans are pro oil. The speed of the phase out scares people because they are lied to and believe they won’t be able to drive or fly

 

Americans *think* they love oil. Say you won’t take it all away and then actually do it and they’ll see that maybe their lives are actually better

It’s hard to describe to people who haven’t been around the fracking boom in places like rural pa and Ohio but it’s like having unregulated industrial activity all around you at all times. It’s insane. It emits toxic pollutants, it’s a huge contributor to climate change, the waste is radioactive, it’s extremely loud and explosive, and injecting the waste which is the most popular way to get rid of it causes freaking earthquakes! And oh yeah it’s also responsible for a recent push to increase plastic production and build new cracker plants. It’s so understated how bad it actually is.

 

Im so tired of learning all of these immunological terms!

Of course he wouldn't agree to a virtual debate. And he absolutely deserves to be cut off if he acts the way he did at the last one. (as any candidate deserves if they ignored the rules)
