The Rising and the player who said the slur are doubling down and denying he said it. I believe there is video on Reddit where if you listen closely you can hear the player saying the slur before the ref's whistle.

The player claims he never said it and the ref didn't hear it, but there's a video where the ref says he heard it and doesn't know what it means. Although, the ref in general seems kind of all over the place in his explanation of what has happened, so.... :/

You can hear the slur at around the 10 second mark right before the whistle. It took me two listens to pick it up.
