I legitimately think that the reason that I've never had a huge Beatles phase is because when I used to take driving lessons in HS, they were always really early on Sundays and I'd be tired or hungover and the dude's car was always super hot and it had a sickly sweet smell to it and he'd only play Breakfast with the Beatles radio. So any deep cuts I hadn't already heard are now tainted with that memory.

Korn is worth listening to for the bass alone, Fieldy has an incredible style

To be clear this is not a bad opinion, this is a popular and correct opinion

My least favorite takes from this thread

4). Anthrax is the best big 4 thrash band
    3). 1975 > Beatles
    2). Hum is Boneless Chevelle

but honestly "original Hurt is unlistenable" is probably tops for me

hum isn’t so much boneless chevelle as chevelle perfected the formula. i’m not mad at that one. would have maybe agreed on it’s face outright if not for inlet.

Always do the right thing. Supporter

When I heard Anthrax and Public Enemy’s Bring da Noise on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 when I was 8 I thought it was a revolution of sound. Pursuing Anthrax further was disappointing.

Pursuing Public Enemy further was not, but I doubt it’s an unpopular opinion to say they’re great

edit: I love Inlet A LOT. I only remember the radio bangers Chevelle had when I was in middle school but I used to love them. Just the phrase boneless Chevelle is hilarious to me.

it's pretty cool that I can barely remember the acronym for the test I took to get professional licensure, but I can remember a random 2+ year old post on a message board. Real smooth brain shit.

great song. love most of their first four records, and life is peachy is probably in my top 10 records of all-time lol
I love how it’s basically just another layer of percussion, and especially how he and David would link together on the first few records. incredibly underrated rhythm section.
