Yeah I was kind of rooting for Stephanie Beatriz(sp?) or Alison, but it sounds like a lot of folks are happy with this choice, so I'm glad

Doing a MCU marathon in my vacation, started with Iron Man naturally. It’s interesting how different in tone and style it is due to being made in the 00’s.

 

Like the whole Muslim terrorist element is so much a product of its time but it’s just glaring and weird now.

 

Yeah, re-watching that movie you definitely can still feel the 2000s filmmaking that's in it. Just the way it's shot and the color correction is much different than the rest of the MCU that was made after the first avengers.

Supposedly someone combed through the source code and found a listed date for Wandavision as Thanksgiving weekend. Conveniently also in the time window when Disney+ drops in Latin America

 

Makes sense, launch it that holiday week when everyone is home and can watch the first episode

 

Yeah I definitely felt the same way when I rewatched a month or two ago. Otherwise I was surprised how well it still stands up today. Pretty great VFX when you consider the age of the film

 

The fact that Kathryn Hahn is likely playing Agatha Harkness makes me pretty intrigued.

 

yeah that definitely hasn’t aged well. I think my understanding is they had recently retconned the comics from the Asian origins with Mandarin to the Middle East thinking it was a bit safer at the time.

 

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Middle Eastern sect of the Ten Rings is in Shang-Chi in some shape. Marvel likes their call backs.

 

Now will people shut up about them putting Black Widow on Disney+? That was never gonna happen.

Super bummed for Eternals though, I wanna see that one so bad!

Honestly, this might be the best thing for the franchise, given how many people after Endgame were talking about "Do we need another Marvel movie?"

People are going to be frothing at the mouth for these movies.*

Recent rumors are that Shang-Chi will be a pretty ambitious film, so I can see why they kept a summer release for it.

 

Smart move by Marvel. I wonder how the TV shows will be affected, if at all.

 

It's been said that Eternals is Feige's attempt at an Oscar-worthy film, if I remember correctly. If studios are hoping to get Oscar-attention for their films, they usually release them in the fall, to keep them fresh in the minds of the Academy voters.

The Falcon and Winter Solider is said to deal with things mentioned in the Black Widow film, so BW has to be released before TFAWS.
