Oh sorry! I didn't see Ohms in there at first glance. I was just so used to seeing rankings in the other thread. I'm very curious to see where it lands for me after a week, a month, a year etc.

 

Anyone got any update on their pre order?

 

Also as a huge fan of all their second track on the album songs...how’s Ceremony?

 

Not yet. Hoping they forgot to email me and it just shows up tomorrow.

 

nothing - probably won't ship till Wednesday at the earliest if at all this week being major label and what not

 

fucking rules - there's a synth part in it that's just so fucking majestic and perfect

So glad to see this is getting huge praise across the board.

Makes me laugh that at the end of two of those reviews it says "for fans of deftones, team sleep, crosses". Like no shit?

 

I only referenced it in passing in my review but hard agree on that synth bit - one thing I love about this record is everybody takes turns in the spotlight and that's a really good one for Frank. That chorus is killer, too.

It makes me think of what I said about the band essentially being their own reference point on this - they're still finding ways to innovate and reshape their signature sound. Across the album you can hear all their records at different points and yet it's the furthest thing from a retread.

I haven't gone looking for it. At this point it's so damn close I can wait a day.

Kind of ironic (and unprecedented) for a certain site to decide not to spread the leak. Warner must be ready to lash out.

 

They've done a really good job locking everything down.

 

I'm really impressed considering how early Diamond Eyes, and slightly less Koi No Yokan and Gore leaked. Props to them.
