Yeah, I think I think Raw won by a landslide week one, last two weeks were more inbetween, and this week Smackdown took it.

 

Smackdown does a better job getting the whole roster involved, and gives a good majority of the roster an actual purpose. Raw still has wrestlers that haven't even shown up yet.

 

Which is insane because Raw has an extra hour. They made the draft to work with the extra hour and yet they still have no idea what to do with it

 

I thought Smackdown was way too Smackdowny. Wasn't really into it at all.

 

Smackdown was definitely better than RAW this week. Hands down. 2 Hours sooooo much easier to watch.

 

Smackdown wins for the Eva Marie announcement alone.

 

Can't wait until she wins the belt without wrestling and then goes into the HOF in 5 years.

Triple H conference call notes:

Triple H says with NXT success, CWC tourney & brand extension...it's a really great time for the industry.
Triple H says he was looking at last year's NXT Takeover Brooklyn poster & how most of that card is on main roster now which is great!
Triple H says Ember Moon is very exciting performer NXT. Says she will be key to NXT given the amount of Women who have been called up.
Triple H looking forward to seeing if No Way Jose can show us something different and hang with Austin Aries in the ring.
Triple H says @JohnnyGargano tag match has chance to steal the show on Saturday.
Triple H says there are matches on NXT Saturday that have a chance to steal the show and the weekend.
Triple H intrigued in the different styles in ring of Joe and Nakamura. Says they've known each other for while but never got to fight.
Triple H says CWC a fun project he's been wanting to do for years. Happy to give them the opportunity to be on RAW to be on WrestleMania.
Triple H on Cruiswerweight division: RAW being 3 hours & needing more content is why they will be Monday.
Triple H says they are signing a lot of Cruiserweight talents to create a division and they will work NXT, NXT Live & RAW.
Triple H says right now Takeover Brooklyn is the WrestleMania of NXT but will be interested to see how these go and evolve.
Triple H says the Women aren't trying to have the best Women's match but the best match of the night. Praising @itsBayleyWWE & @WWEAsuka
Triple H says he thinks they want the Cruiserweight division to all be signed to WWE and not able to work other places simultaneously.
Triple H says they are looking into any trends or cause and effect of performers getting a lot of same injuries like shoulder & such
Says difficult to pin it to one thing other than it's a physical business. Says their strength and conditioning coach is one of the best.
Triple H says he's working on NXT broadcast team w/ @WWEGraves now on RAW. Said he's thrilled for Corey. Working on best fit & voice for NXT

 

I assume they are having guys run through their indie dates before the division starts up. I'm guessing we start to see it in October or so.

 

Triple H says Shawn Michaels still deciding if he wants to move or not, has been at PC recently.
Triple H says HBK loves NXT & PC and being around it excites him & he asked about being able to spend time there w/ talent.
Triple H says if HBK wants to be there full time than that's greatest thing ever but he can also show up occasionally. Says it's all on him.
Triple H on a Cruiserweight title being crowned at the end of tourney "you'll have to wait and see."

 

This barely feels like an ROH show.

 

Del Rio suspended for Wellness violation

 

Given how stretched the past few Raws have been you can totally see why this did this. I feel like if you have 30-45 minutes of cruiser weight content on Raw each week it'll stop the show from being spread so thin. Would probably even free up moving Cesaro to Smackdown.

I totally understand why they want that. Even if you ignore the "using WWE status for self promotion", WWE also doesn't want their talent getting injured. But this does kinda feel like it could remove some of the soul that makes the CWC so thrilling.

 

With ROH recently announcing their partnership with CMLL I'm hoping this is just the growing pains of something that could be great later. With NJPW, NOAH, ROH, CMLL, and RevPro all in alliances together it feels like they're trying to build a global territory system almost, and that's an incredible and ambitious concept, but it just feels weird right now for some reason.

You know we bitch about Japanese wrestlers going over ROH guys too much but I can imagine alot of Japanese fans being tired of seeing all these westerners going over their homegrown guys lately as well, so it probably goes both ways.

 

I wouldn't be shocked if we don't see him again on WWE tv.

Man, what a nightmare this Del Rio run has been. Started off with such promise at HIAC too.

Yeah, he's gone. I don't think he'll be back on TV. Sucks for Smackdown too, I was really hoping he would be able to start fresh on there and get back to the upper mid-card/main event

 

ROH announced they're bringing back the Honor Rumble (first one in 2 years) at the house show I'm going to in a month. Fuck yeahhhhh.
