also I'm thinking about getting back on tinder since I did enjoy it for the most part and it's been a few months since I last used it.

Yeah, anymore I just try and set up meeting up as soon as possible so I can tell if the time invested in flirting over text is worth it or not.

On another note, if I can brag a little in here, my powerpoint tinder pics have gotten me 80+ matches in 48 hours, so I'm feeling pretty good right now

Yup, all 6 pics are basically powerpoint slides with a couple pictures of me and some bullet points with dumb captions.

i used tinder twice, was too afraid to swipe uhh whichever way is the good way because i didnt want to talk to people. not for me.

 

happened to me this week lol, it happens. i've started to adopt the "oh well" mindset at this point because i can't keep spending the mental/emotional toll every time it happens

 

i've dated the same guy for nearly 7 years so i've been out of the dating game for a good while. Interesting to see the trials and tribulations people have to go through and how people meet now. Last night I saw the Used on their Self titled show night, and it was weird. I thought about my ex a lot and how he used to blast that album to try and fight his demons. It was the first time I'd really listened to the album in a very long time and it was weird how the lyrics took on new meaning and I could apply it to my relationship with him. I used to watch him listen to that album in the car and see how angry he'd seem while listening to it, not knowing that one day it would also describe his own abusive nature. Trips me out that for him he directs the lyrics towards people who have treated him poorly, but somewhere out there there's someone listening to it and thinking how he's that abusive toxic person.

For the people in relationships. do you guys ever wonder what it would be like to be single again ? Or just have the urge just to jump on okc just to see what it's like to talk to other people again ?

 

yup, not much else you can do about it, so why bother worrying? It doesn't really bother me until we get to a point where we plan to meet up for the first time and hang out and then they decide to ghost. Like, at least give me the decency or rejecting me early on.


Also I matched with a girl on tinder who is really cute, she super liked me even and messaged me first complimenting my powerpoint, but she said that she's bad at "timely responses" and hasn't responded to my last message. Is it best to wait it out for her to respond on the app or message her again asking if she prefers another way to communicate (e.g. asking for her phone number)?

 

I'd wait and maybe pose that question in your next response. She may be busy with other things, plus I'm wary of having too much contain before actually meeting.
