In the new episode of Axe To Grind (35 minutes in), Pat said the new LP is done but they don't feel comfortable releasing while they can't tour, so to "do right on the label's investment" they have recorded 3 more songs for an EP to be released in the interim.

 

This is a good podcast all around

 

The biggest news from that episode was new Fiddlehead LP in the fall

 

How did I miss this?

 

Bob mentioned it really quick at the beginning when they were talking about the Narrow Head album.

As a follow-up from a insta story Pat posted earlier this week, they're currently sitting on 17(!) unreleased songs. Same plans still apply apparently - EP in the interim and then the LP when things return to normal. They also apparently have an offer to tour in November but that's up in the air due to the slow vaccine rollout.

any news on new Self Defense? I know they are always sitting on recordings & they for sure have that live album they recorded in 2019...

 

There’s two more singles to come out and once that’s done it’s possible it’ll be comp’d with the others as a 12”

 

Does anyone have an update on the re-release through No Sleep? It feels like months since I have ordered.

The represses are through No Sleep so expect radio silence there until they actually show up.
