Hmm I was hoping that when TCM/OCTW got leaked months ago it would be a headliner. Still really surprised that TCM isn't headlining. Didn't know HLH and OLN had such a surge of popularity. I really only know OLN as the band that use to be heavy and know just does covers so idk... I've heard great things about Hands Like Houses though. I may hit this up.

 

I've never felt more of a label writing a band's posts than with The Wonder Years. It's painfully obvious, like they don't even try to hide it. It's why I like that Real Friends has a lot of creative control over that stuff, it makes it more personal.

 

Released a new album earlier this year

 

Not smart for TCM, this tour is not going to appeal to their fanbase.

 

I'm trying to weigh out already if it's worth going. Like I said HLH, I've heard good things about but OLN to me is just basically kind of a cover band...

 

HLH is easily one of my favorite bands in the scene. OLN put out a pretty good album last year, but yeah their covers are pretty much all anyone listens to anymore.

 

That's the funny part. They usually only play 1 cover live and the rest are originals. I've said this before but they could make a killing going on a "covers" tour. They can even make more of a killing if they brought out the special guests they were on some of these covers.

 

I like OLN, HLH, and TCM. It's a pretty good tour for me.

 

Random question here, but what is the deal with Chiodos/Craig Owens? Did they officially break-up, another hiatus, Owens doing only solo stuff, will we ever see DRUGS again?

 

Chiodos is on hiatus with the only real chance that they ever come back is when BPB hits 10 years. Craig was talking about how he had all this solo stuff to release this year but so far it was just old demos and things. DRUGS was going to have some reunion shows back in December but according to Craig, SWS stopped Nick from joining up and it all fell apart after that.

 

Stopped as in, told him no or their schedule wouldn't allow it?

 

Pretty crazy how much turmoil has hit that band with the success they had early on. That's too bad, Craig's a great singer but seems like it might be him that leads to these bands having issues.

 

It was something about SWS having to write. Either way he said it was going to be something small and he didn't mention which members would be apart of it other than Nick

 

And all this is from conversations from one of the private acoustic shows he did last year, so lots of things could have changed between then and now.

 

That sucks. I loved that DRUGS album and I thought when they broke up, everyone hated Craig. Plus if they do some shows, I'm guessing most of them will be in the Michigan area and not make their way to NJ/NYC.

Well shit, I really hope Like Pacific playing the Philly SYG show doesn't stop that tour from playing Philly. LP/Broadside/Boston Manor is such a good lineup.

 

OLN/HLH/TCM/OCTW tour just got announced. Honestly, it makes sense for the color morale. Always works well to be the heaviest band on a tour.
