Yeah! How dare those “entitled” gamers want to know how much an expensive piece of hardware will cost them so they can save money during a global pandemic accordingly

 

I mean, I didn't call all gamers entitled and didn't say there weren't legitimate reasons for wanting to know the price. I said that I would want it to annoy entitled gamers.

Given that we know the Xbox price and also every single informed opinion has been saying for at least a year that the new consoles will cost between £400-£550 top end, if people are taking the time to moan on the internet about the price announcement it's pretty clear they're choosing to ignore what has effectively already been confirmed.

Obviously there are legitimate reasons why Sony should, and probably will, announce the price now. Any longer and it'll probably start hurting launch sales for them. But my post was specifically about the entitled portion of the internet that thinks companies "owe" them something.

 

You literally said you hope they don’t reveal the price because you want to hear people moaning about not knowing the price (which is frankly a ridiculous thing to hope for), and then linked moaning about not knowing the price to being entitled, but ok!

Yes, especially if you have a 4K TV, but even if you don’t (I don’t) I’d go for it provided you can afford it

 

It would be hilarious to me if they didnt announce the price here. To hold a presentation a couple months before release and then be like 'lol, were still not telling you how much it costs, though!' is very funny.

Going to go out on a limb and say i’m not sure if game sizes will continue to remain the sizes they are once we’ve moved over to more powerful and efficient hardware in our consoles.

Thinking back to that UE5 reveal from Epic this summer and how they were saying that new engines will allow instantaneous reproduction and duplication of assets, I guess i’m just curious if developers might find ways to do more with less space given the new tools in their hands.
