Hm Wiki says he left in 2018. Not 100% on the specifics, but I guess so

  2. He left the band in 16/17 and was replaced by Aaron Heard of Jesus Piece in 2018.

What’s wrong with asking questions about a government that consistently lies to the public?

Ya never understood why 9/11 conspiracy people are treated so viciously, like would you guys really be that surprised if it came out that they were right? Lol

Yeah idk why anyone would care about Anthony Green believing that, personally.

Yeah there's nothing about that that belongs in this thread or even necessarily considered strange.

Like, what is there to hold him accountable for? Not trusting the Bush administration? lol

Long-time lurker, first-time poster here mildly weirded out by the defense of Anthony Green's tweets and lukewarm 9/11 skepticism, so I'll bite. To be clear, the 9/11 attacks were in response to decades of state-sponsored American terrorism of Palestine, unconditional support of Israel, stationing of troops in Saudi Arabia, and perceived "moral failings" of the West, among other things (see Bin Laden's letter to America). I don't think I need to explain why erasure of those motives in favor of "just a couple villains at the top needed a quick and compelling excuse to start a war for oil" is problematic. Beyond that, bypassing that explanation in favor of one that involves literal thousands of architects, engineers, developers, city inspectors, consultants, contractors, laborers and tradesmen secretly rigging 1-3 50+ story skyscrapers in the middle of Manhattan with explosives and then staying completely silent about it for decades is some actual Infowars shit. Ignoring the complete incompetence of the Bush administration, the head of state in 2020 can't even flex enough executive cover-up muscle to keep his own ex-lawyer quiet, ffs.

Anybody else here who, like Anthony, thinks that they're "being lied to" about building 7, here's an exhaustive and bone-dry 173-page document by actual structural engineers explaining how "building 7 looks so much like a controlled demolition": https://tsapps.nist.gov/publication/get_pdf.cfm?pub_id=861612

I stay coming back to this forum because of the great in-depth discussions around these parts but good god yall gotta keep your wits about you.

Edit: maybe I should clarify, my post has nothing to do with the nature of this thread and everything to do with AG and other 9/11 truthers letting their brains get away with insanely irresponsible bullshit.

I think mildly weirded out is the most anyone should feel about those tweets. I don't think we need to put him in this thread, right after some really harrowing sexual assault allegations. I get that it's the "accountability" thread but there's context to holding people accountable. Anthony using his platform to poke the bear about a questionable conspiracy theory isn't great, but it's far more appropriate to "hold him accountable" in the many threads related to him and his music rather than the single thread on the site that actively holds people in music accountable for the rampant assault, harassment, and pedophilia that exists. I mean we're talking about such different things that it's really jarring to see them together in the same thread and it honestly kind of dilutes the way in which this thread in particular names and shames the most despicable ppl in this scene. That's just my 2 cents ig, though i know this gets talked about a lot already

I wasn't saying I believe the theory's, just if it one day came out to be true that it was staged it would not surprise me lol

  11. I don't have a problem with this thread being used to also discuss less serious things like that. It can generate real conversation, which is important for people to sort through how they feel about things. I don't think it's unreasonable to find those tweets upsetting for a myriad of reasons that have very little to do with the corruption of the Bush administration.

But if the general consensus from y'all is you want this thread to stick to the harrowing stuff, then fair enough. Just let me (as a mod) know where everyone lands.

  12. he is no longer in the band - he has a co-write on the new single but my assumption is that’s just cuz it was an older song and they had to cover their asses legally - he doesn’t contribute any thing else to the record

  13. As someone who has also legally had to give cowriting credit where it was due to people who turned out to be human shaped piles of turds, I can empathize with them on this one (assuming that's what happened here)

  14. I have all the credits to the album because I wanted to make sure too and that’s the only song his name is credited to as a song writer

To be clear, did the rest of the band work with him after the Whirr situation? Or was he kicked out because of it

Yeah my point was basically that fat mike is a complete asshole who has made abhorrent public comments before but MM is legitimately an abuser.
