  1. Yeah, I'm reading mixed things and I feel like I didn't see any promotion for it, which makes me nervous, but my brother liked it, and the trailer looks fun.

All this sequel talk reminds me that I haven't seen the first Babysitter. Starting it now.

EDIT: This movie was a ton of fun. Inspired direction, great gore, and a lot of the jokes hit for me.

This x10000. While I still loved Invisible Man, was not pleased that the trailer gave away the entire plot and mystery. I try to just not watch trailers (unless its a teaser one) for this reason.

Just got down watching Babysitter 2...
It's not nearly as bad as I expected. Kinda fun.
    Some spoilers below.

Samara is in it and that wig was distracting but it's a lot more than I thought it was going to be. Also, seems like they retconned the first a little which I am not wild about. Not crazy about the heel turn of the girl from last movie either but they did telegraph it early on.

Rewatching IT: Chapter 2. I remember liking this a lot in theaters and, while I don't think it holds up to my initial viewing, a lot of the emotional stuff still hits for me. Specifically R&E and Stan's letter

  11. Oh, we're talking about IT Chapter 2 now? I thought we were still on The Babysitter 2 and was about to get super disappointed. Yeah, IT Chapter 2 could've been a lot better.

  12. It 2 sucked because the kids weren't in it as much. If you took out the clown stuff, I'd still love the first movie so much. The kids made those movies great. Everything else was just meh. I have no desire to watch the second one again.

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

It Chapter 2 was not good at all, especially compared to the first one.

  14. It's just, I don't know how you can manage to get McAvoy, Hader, and Chastain (and obviously Skarsgard) to deliver good performances and still be a bad movie, but that's what we got. It's almost as baffling as it is disappointing. The first one waa so good. The pieces were all there.

I enjoyed the bits of chapter 2 that had to do with the group’s dynamic/relationships, most everything else was not doing it for me

My bias aside, I enjoyed 2, but I do think it would have been a lot better if you trimmed it by a good 30-40 minutes.

  17. Yeah, I mean there were some obvious performance highlights. I didn't hate it. It's even hard for me to rag on the length considering the length of the book and original miniseries. But it certainly could have benefitted from a stronger editor, and generally speaking, I'm not super into horror movies that feel like Marvel movies (the It reboot, a lot of James Wan stuff, etc.)

So that's the original three back for Scream 5. I fully accept that one, if not all, will finally die.

Here a few hours late to chime in that Babysitter 2 is tons of fun! The CGI is genuinely very bad at spots and once I realized that the actress that played Melanie was in Doctor Sleep I kinda assumed that twist. Glad Samara Weaving’s cameo was kinda weaved throughout the movie and not just a last minute surprise

This looks great! I hope they continue to do originals in the vein of Scare Package and this kinda has that feel to it.

Trying to decide which horror movie to watch outside on a friend’s projector tonight. What’s a good crowd pleaser that would be fun to watch outside?

was thinking of either going classic like Dracula or more modern like The Conjuring
