Also happy to see this thread. I registered on Ap.net in December 2002 so I've been there pretty much since the beginning. I'm a huge craft beer fan and within that, a big glassware fan. Here are some of my recent #properglassware shots:

This thread is amazing, been drinking a lot of Revolver Blood and Honey and Lakewood Temptress recently, any other good Texas beer I should check out?

Subbing. Went out last night and haD the following (I really should start taking pics of the stuff I'm drinking):

-Hammerheart Barrel-Aged Shieldwall - Was pretty good for a barrel-aged brown ale. The cocoa-nibs weren't that strong, but it definitely was a booze bomb at 11%.
-Off Color Dino S'mores - One of my favorite stouts in the Chicago area. So effing good.
-Lagunitas Aunt Sally - Not bad for a sour from Lagunitas. I don't know what I was expecting because I haven't had a sour from them before, but it was a nice mild, hoppy sour that I'd probably recommend to someone as a gateway into sours.
-Sculpin on Nitro - First time I've had an IPA on nitro on draft. It was weird...not a huge fan. Cut out the hoppiness that I like from Sculpin, but it wasn't bad for a 5 dollar pint.

Had Ballast Point's Peppermint Victory at Sea last night, and while it was very tasty, the peppermint didn't really add much to the already tasty beer base

Looks like you're a NC guy. Love Wicked Weed and the limited FF I've had. Have heard great things about Burial too.

For all you PNW folks.. I'll be in Portland next weekend. I lived there for about a year, but was 100% broke all the time, so I didn't have a chance to really try out anything while I was there. Any bar/local brew recommendations?

There was a Bells glass giveaway last night in town that I'm sad I missed. Too busy playing beach volleyball to remember.

Here's my Portland rundown from when I went there a few months back. I posted this on AP, but maybe it'll help ya here

Deschutes - more restaurant than brewery where I stopped by, but was a nice little place. Favorite: Zarabanda or The Abyss
Baerlic - Amazing small little cute/new brewery. The person working was super nice, we played a few board games, their tasting flight holders are fun also. Favorite: Woodworker Inquitous
Cascade - Just phenomenal, we ended up going twice. Sours made perfectly, so many options. Favorites: Pumpkin Smash, Blueberry
Rogue - had been to Rogue in Eugene before, but this one was bigger and had a restaurant with it. Super nice staff, ended up giving me my entire flight for free, seemingly because she liked talking to us. Favorite: OBF Smoked Lager
Culmination - Another really cool little place, we stayed and played Yahtzee for a few hours while it rained out. Favorite: Blueberry Lavender Sour
Base Camp - We didn't stay here long really. A nice big hangout area, but nothing on tap really excited us so we got one glass of the S'more Stour, which came with a toasted marshmallow on it. Points for presentation!

Dino S'mores is fantastic! I missed out on the coffee variant that was released last week, but I still have a bottle of this year's that I will probably age until next year to see how it comes out.

I really liked the Lagunitas Aunt Sally. I hope it sticks around for summer, because I can see it being a great summer beer, like a dry, hoppy lemonade.

Sculpin on nitro sounds bizarre. It's what, 7%? And as beers get stronger they should be more highly carbonated (relative to the style), so that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. What I'd really like to see is a session IPA (4% or less) that's served on nitro. I think that would help it not be as thin and watery as some of them can be, but the nitrogen can still help push out some of those hoppy aromatics.
