Who would you have replace Southgate at the moment though? Only one name comes to my mind but it’s a painful one to say.

    hmmm

I feel for Phillips out there. He's making his debut and he's just outnumbered in midfield.

    This is bizarre from Southgate.

Southgates squad is a mess. No left backs at all. A poor selection of centre backs that leaves out some of the star CB’s in the PL. the worst English goalkeeper on the top flight starting over the two best. Only picking Grealish when he gets huge backlash and players dropping out. A player who hasn’t even played in the PL.

Wenger. Get him working with them, you get all the best parts of Wenger and none of the worst. We’ll play good football and you’ll get the best out of our great attacking players and youngsters.

    Alternatively, Howe?

That would be fantastic but I don’t think he would take it, honestly.

That’s an interesting shout. I hadn’t really considered a non-English manager. It could work or could be a disaster. Howe again is a decent one.

The one I was thinking of is Chris Wilder.

Wilder would be good but I doubt he’s leaving his boyhood club so soon.

  9. Well I doubt he’s replaced anytime soon. Runners up in the World Cup and 3rd in Nations League. He’ll at least get a crack at Euros next year.

    Rodgers?

The main benefit of Wilder being England manager would be the shower of shit he’s dragged through the divisions returning to their natural level.

On another note, Nketiah is destroying for England u21’s. Coming into the season on form and full of confidence, which is good as Lacazette might not play the first two/three games.

Waddle talks a lot of shite, but I agree with one point.

these games were a chance to have a look at players like Mount, Grealish and AMN and they barely got a look in.

instead we played someone who shouldn’t be playing internationally (Dier) and someone who hasn’t even played top flight football.

    I do not exist.

I liked Southgate when he started and said he wouldn’t pick players just because they were senior players but that people would play on merit. Good start but since the WC, he’s gone against that and has started playing players like Dier & Pickford who shouldn’t be near the starting line up.

Tactically we seem inept and unsure of ourselves.

Such a shame as at least we looked like we were potent in attack in 2019, with just the defence a bit suspect.

  17. Heard they’re also in for Leon Bailey. Everton breaking the bank again. Gotta work eventually right?

Hey, even our games aren't THAT bad (mostly).

I say this knowing we play West Ham on TV on Saturday night and it will probably be an absolute stinker.

Just found out what happened to the Czech Republic in the last week, and how it shows how bad Scotland are.

basically the Czech squad played their rivals and former countrymen Slovakia and then discovered an Covid outbreak in their squad, so they decided to call up a whole new squad of players involving youngsters and people who were old and hadn’t been picked in years.

They still went 1-0 up and only lost 2-1 to Scotland...

in the latest funny transfeer news, there's a bunch of United fans convinced we're about to sign Sancho because both United and Dortmund's stock prices are rising this week...

I think the Czech FA tried to cancel the game because of the outbreak but UEFA made them call up another team to play.

Apparently they threatened to call up their coaching staff as players haha. That would have been amazing.

  23. I saw something today that said United believes they are only being linked to Reguilon in order to get an actual bid from Spurs. Not sure I believe that because that isn’t how Levy operates haha he isn’t going to pay up just because of internet rumors.

Yeah we aren’t in for him in my opinion.
