Even tho the series x won’t put out true 4 k like the one x it still has all the next gen tech inside of it. So it is very much indeed a next gen console

it has other features that make up for the loss of 4k, mainly higher LOD biases, faster load times and more advanced effects.

 

I have given up on hard drive space, it will never be good enough, I just delete games by default now

 

But it also upscales games to 4 k while having ray tracing a ssd and all the features the series x has just not as many teraflops

 

Ah I see. That’s fine though. I personally think 4K is a little overrated compared to other stuff. I’d still rather get Series X though. But not this fall. I don’t see myself buying a console this year.

 

That’s like 215 usd I payed under 200 with sales tax. It’s back to the Normal price now of 230 here in the states

 

Actually I probably won’t get one until I find a job, but if that job happens to pay well enough I might actually get a gaming PC lol @mescalineeyes you will have to help me though when I’m trying to figure out which one to buy lol

 

Either way 300 for the shit inside the series s is a steal imo even tho if I get a series Xbox it will be the x not the s

I just bought a random MSI Aegis 3 (i7/RTX 2070) from a pawn shop here before quar. It's good but I don't recommend it due to limited upgradability (the PSU only outputs 450W.) Moose when the time comes we gotchu fam

 

What’s the performance like? Is it a normal 2070 or a super? Mine has a super and if I hook it up to my tv I can play in 4k and hit 30-60 FPS no problem but playing in 1080 at over 100 FPS is insane

 

it's a normal, if it was a super I would have not omitted it ;) Idk I am not super happy with it but it's also not bad. I get like 160fps in Valorant at 1440 hah

 

Yeah lol having a super with an 10gen i9 is so nice. This is def worth the price I paid for it. also copying stuff from one ssd to another is super fuck fast nothing compares. Copying from ssd to hdd is so slow even with the current 3.2 USB’s

Someone said the series s is more powerful and better then the ps5. Lmfao the ps5 has over 10 teraflops of gpu power.

also I don’t think a 2 teraflop difference is gonna make that big of a gap between consoles when it comes to graphics

 

I think we will be at a point where finishing returns will truly set in, plus I think the ps5‘s crazy SSD speeds and the fact that devs don’t have to consider a Series S type version will lead to some pretty incredible results, especially on software that’s bespoke for that console.

 

Yeah and everything Microsoft has shown off has been built with the one x and s in mind. Nothing that they have show off has looked next gen. On the other hand spider man miles morale, ratchet and clank, gran turismo 7, horizon 2 are all built from the ground up on ps5 and all looked 10x better then anything Microsoft showed off. Even halo infinite wasn’t shown off on a actual series x. If you ask me that’s embarrassing for Microsoft
