I literally heard this fact earlier today for the first time. That's so dope! :D

Have never got the heavy love for Every Time I Look for You in this thread, I'd also just call it "pretty good" and mostly because of that dope bridge, I've never really liked the chorus melody that much

TOYP falls off in the second half in general for me honestly

Please Take Me Home is one of their best closers.

I grew out of TOYPAJ to be honest, it doesn't do much for me anymore.

I think it’s their best closer and fits the album perfectly in that spot.

Must be over a year since I have last listened to that album. Maybe it will make the playlist this weekend.

  7. There was a period of time where I thought I outgrew TOYPAJ, but a couple years ago it re-clicked with me. The only Blink albums I really listen to front to back these days are Dude Ranch, TOYPAJ, and Nine. (I still call Untitled my fav though)

I love the way TOYPAJ sounds and almost all the songs are great. The lyrics are mostly not great but that’s the case for Enema and some of Dude Ranch too.

Sonically, TOYPAJ is my favorite. So crisp.

I have a buddy who knew someone that set up the audio system in movie theatres here in Canada and he always used TOYPAJ as test album since it sounds perfectly mixed / balanced.

Ever hear the first time they played it live before TOYPAJ came out? They told the crowd it was a new song and if they liked it awesome but if not it was a New Found Glory song. Hahaha

Ya it's one of the hits they play live that I still enjoy hearing every time I go to their shows.

I kinda feel and felt this way. I'm not the biggest fan of Every Time, and I used to say the second half was weak, but I've got new appreciation for Roller Coaster, Reckless Abandon, and Give Me. And I've always liked Please Take Me Home.

Not as good as other albums, but not bad either.

Also, the bonus tracks are aces!

Oh, and this made me laugh, cuz, while that may be one of their best music videos, I feel like it's a pretty cringey song.

I mean, these might be cringey in some manner, but I still like them Dumpweed, Dysentery Gary, Antthem, even Mutt

Oh, and I mean Aliens Exist!! Gotta be one of the best Tom songs on there!

    cool dogs

maybe its obvious but i've wondered if Don't Tell Me That It's Over and Time to Break Up were supposed to be on the album until they got asked for more of that 'catchy fun-time blink stuff' and First Date and Rock Show replaced them.
in any case they should have been on the album in place of One Good Reason and Shut Up imo

  16. Is all the small things the biggest pop punk song ever?

    I assume so.

I’m guessing it is, “Good Riddance” or “Sugar We’re Going Down”/“Dance Dance” come to mind as maybe being close

Basket case and The Middle are huge, although many of us don’t view that as pop punk.

Basket Case is its only real competition I think.

Ocean Avenue + In Too Deep. Maybe The Anthem all pretty close too I would think

At least based on my normy friends. But All The Small Things is def the biggest

Basket Case was way bigger and more important in terms of changing musics landscape. It’s not a competition.

Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, followed by Green Day “Basketcase” and The Offpsring’s “Come Out And Played” kicked open a lot of doors for existing and new bands from the punk world in mainstream.

Although I never thought of Green Day as pop punk, some may. All the Small Things and Sugar are benefactors of Basket Case, but right right up near the very top. Let’s not leave out What’s My Age Again? either. I’d say the Middle too. Those songs are instantly recognizable for people and played everywhere.

Good riddance (time of your life) will be the most popular song from a pop punk band until the end of time
