  7. Long term, you should. Even with dips. Rate of return compared to the dismal bank interest or bonds or whatever is way higher.

So the state ordinances changed, city ones didn't, and rather than educating herself on the city ones she just asked the salon?

Sounds like they are both at fault here. I still think most of Pelosi's blame rests on her not realizing that its just bad optics rather than not knowing specific laws. Even if it had been legal, it still would've been a bad move for her.

i allllmost took a chunk of what we had in the bank back in like March when the Dow was down to like 19000 or whatever and put it into a basic index fund. Extremely regretting not doing so now. Just assumed the downturn in the market was going to last a lot longer than it did.

I also considered getting like a TD Ameritrade account and buying a bunch of cruise liner and other travel stocks that had sunk to super low levels. Once again, too much of a wuss to pull the trigger.

  13. lol i like that we're still doing 'BUT HOW EXACTLY DO YOU PAY FOR IT' for only one side of the coin

eh, if it were legal and she was wearing at mask she could have at least gone with the “trying to support local businesses harmed by the pandemic” angle, but yeah. Not having a mask on was supremely stupid.

I still roll my eyes at the restaurant regs. Shit is airborne and were acting like sitting at the table without a mask on is fine lol

  16. I called someone at a financial planning company back in ... I dunno ... 2007? Right before the first giant recession clusterfuck because I didn't know what to do about the new stock matching program Buzzmedia had at the time. I just let them do all of it and move shit around at this point. We have a meeting twice a year, I understand very little of anything they or my accountant actually says. I nod and act real interested and want to see lines go up. I do know the % increase is more than just sitting around. Thanks Obama.

I'm sure casinos and malls will take all of the necessary steps to count literally every person who enters and leaves their multiple points of entry/exit at all times and coordinate each entry/exit's numbers in real time to ensure that those percentages are complied with strictly.

    Goddamn idiot.

Imagine this thread if Mitch McConnell went to a barber and then got caught without a mask and then said it was a political hit job. Everyone would be posting tweets and ridiculing him. It shouldn’t be a story and it only is one because she’s fucking dumb for doing it and dumber for not just saying it was a lapse in judgement

I would like to have enough money to be certain I will make rent this month despite working as a salary employee, let alone have money to throw into the stock market.

I own some stocks. It satisfies my itch to gamble which isn’t an addiction or problem I have at all.
