Do we know yet if the debates will have an audience? If they don’t, that will bode poorly for Trump since he only knows how to play off a crowd. The last Biden v Bernie debate was boring and great without an audience.

 

I always forget he’s a MAGA loser but then remember he’s from Holland, Mich. and that tracks very well with that city.

 

Not sure how they could have an audience.

So the PD I'm in asked "who would you talk to from history?" as an ice breaker and it made me think that, with the obsession is country has with what the Founders wanted/intended, who would you most want to talk to about today's issues from the Founders and see what they have to say?

Of the big names, I'd probably almost undoubtedly say Franklin. He's the one I would trust the most to think about the problems and come up with solutions (aka tell Republicans they're dumbasses). Hamilton would be another one too. They seemed like the two smartest, at least.

Some of the lesser known names that were more left wing at the time probably would be better overall though. There were a few hardcore anti-slavery guys in the Convention that I'm sure would have some more left wing tendencies based on today's politics/problems.

I'm just excited that he gets to spend a night not blankly staring at the camera trying to pretend that Jim from Ames, Iowa talking about George Soros and the Democrats are controlling the media isn't batshit crazy.
