I've been wanting to watch Demons! Maybe tonight.

 

The pimp was incredible. Loved the score, gore was great. The initial demon character design was so fucking good

 

Looks like a fun throwback to 80s slashers. Will probably stink, but I'm in for it.

Finally watched the OG My Bloody Valentine. Not enough reverb.

Also weird that it was critically panned for graphic violence, but it felt really tame by today's standard.

 

I wasn't into OG nor the remake. I'm actually surprised RT has them sitting as high as they do.

 

Color Out Of Space hit Shudder today. Excited to finally check that out.

 

It’s good, I picked up the 4K disc when it first came out and I’ve since watched it twice

 

I'd say my opinion of it was pretty favorable.

I have this thing with old slashers as of late where I just guess the whodunits right off the bat. It takes me out of that part of the story. As long as the killings are pretty cool, and the set-ups aren't terrible, I'm on board. I also appreciated that this movie didn't go the way of tits for the sake of tits that a lot of 80's R-rated films did. (A low bar, I know.)

Also, the movie is Canadian as fuck. I'm curious if @mad has any attachment to it. (My Bloody Valentine)

 

Nic Cage's career is such an enigma. I'd like to see this as well.

 

gf and I watched We Summon the Darkness last night and had a pretty good time with it

 

my mom grew up very close to where it was filmed lol

 

This Cursed Films docuseries on Shudder is extremely my shit.

 

I watched the first two, need to go back to it. I knew about most of the exorcist stuff but the omen episode was pretty fascinating.

 

Really excited for the second season of Cursed Films. A lot of the things from season 1 were common knowledge for nerds, so I'm very excited to see what season 2 brings.

 

If you are into some classical horror movies then I guess you guys should try out Thirteen ghosts, it is an excellent remake of the original 1960 movie. You will love the story, the art direction and the costumes and makeover of the ghosts. It is a must watch movie.

 

I like this more than anything the actual franchise has to offer.

I enjoyed Random Acts of Violence for what it was, and knew the themes would be inherently flawed, but yeah...bad take from Baruchel here.
