Man I wonder how many people he planned to bring for the live shows. That rivals the ensemble on Lifted. Also how/why is Flea on this? Haha

Nate toured with the RHCP band the last few years and Conor talks about how he loves “deloused” by The Mars Volta and that had Jon Theodore on drums & Flea on bass too

I have always been a rather casual fan of Bright Eyes, but the obvious Phoebe/Connor connection got me way more on board in recent times.

This album won’t stop playing. I just can’t stop.

I loved it immediately but it's also getting better with every listen, what a great record.

I also made the decision to actively get into Bright Eyes because of BOCC, and now I’d put them in my top 5 favorite bands. Also, this album plays quite nicely while driving around Northern Michigan.

  7. Hoping my opinion will change with repeated listens, but this is just okay and also a bid tedious at times on first listen.

But we'll see what I think in a week!

So I received my order rather quick, at least sooner than I expected. Really nice and all, sadly enough it came with extra costs at the border which are equal to the price of my order...

Hoping we get some more live performance stuff soon, I thought they said they were doing NPR Tiny Desk but they may have just been talking about the First Listen thing they did.

how long ago did they do promo for this album? in all the new promo pics, he has much shorter hair, and i even think back to the recent-enough conan video with him and phoebe where his hair is super short - but now it's hella long again lol

  24. Curious what’s meant by this? I don’t really know what it would “say” other than Kevin doesn’t care for the record haha

I just meant that it's overall perceived as a good/solid record by most publications which shows that what they did in making this record worked out for them (even if there are people out there who are not fans of it), if that makes sense.
