See, I can’t listen to a song off of EIGTH without having to listen to the whole record. It just fits together so cohesively and so perfectly for me.

 

this song was my morning alarm for a month. great way to wake up

 

EIGTH was one of my fav albums of the last decade. As You Please is solid too, though. Hope they do something weird again next.

 

Cement is such an awesome album + set opener

 

Relistened to EIGTH yesterday and remembered what I didn't like about the album more clearly - the rhythm section. The drum and bass parts are mostly uninteresting and play-by-numbers throughout the record. It's the worst on "Ten" though, probably my least favourite Citizen song.

I'm a drummer though, so take that as you will. Vocals and guitar work are pretty decent on the record and I appreciate how weird it is but AYP still wins their best record by a country mile for me.

All the clips are pretty weird songs, I'm excited!

 

Only listened to a couple seconds of each preview so maybe this is extremely off base, but I am all the way here for a mid-2000s post punk revival Ciz if that’s where this is headed

 

Woah these sound so sick. I'm excited to hear the whole things, but this direction already seems pretty promising

These are rad! If they're indeed from the album that sucks though -- no way anything was close when they've said 2021

 

If it's a case of the site putting these up before they were intended then that really sucks.

Decided to listen since there’s no indication of when the songs will be officially released. Probably my favorite tracks of theirs, maybe besides Jet. Really excited to hear more

 

They put up new merch Friday and there's a poster that says new album in 2021 so definitely was a mistake which is a bummer

 

they will eventually be released

 

Oh yeah I figured they would be haha. Just meant that it’s tough to stay patient for an undisclosed official release date when the songs are already available. Normally I’d have waited if there was at least a timeframe

 

when is that ep coming out

 

Their bio still says LP4 2021 so hopefully soonish
