Seems to be a lot of collective amnesia on the internet in regards to "LeBron should actually do something concrete to affect change not just talk" like he didn't co-found a well funded voting rights organization backed by the most popular athletes and entertainers in the world like a month and a half ago

trying to plan something like this would end up leaking and getting the higher ups involved and diminishing the initial impact.

 

The Bucks were ready to take the loss with a forfeit yesterday to highlight the issues going on in the state they play basketball in after George Hill and Sterling Brown felt uncomfortable playing yesterday and the rest of the team decided to stand in solidarity with their teammates - I think the vast majority of Bucks were expecting to play yesterday.

I mean come on. You literally, right there, said it was "always" going to be a moment of spontaneity.

 

I was commenting on it leaking and the impact being diminished. The president warned the March on Washington organizers and it still went through. It wouldn't have been diminished at all had they planned it better. In fact, it's possible we would've gotten an even BIGGER impact instead of them...striking through one set of games.

 

This specific moment yes absolutely

no where did I say all protests are like that and then you hit me with some unrelated fact about the Washington March

 

Also spontaneity in the sense that George Hill or Sterling Brown could have thought they were gonna play until literally the moment they put on the jersey that says Milwaukee on it and the real gravity hit them

I don’t think it was wrong how they did and I also don’t think it would have been wrong if they gave a heads up either
