I was expecting a decent Trump convention bounce, curious to see tonight's ratings

 

He's a businessman! He'll run America like a business! Because I fucking love my boss and never ever complain about my job!

 

People have been saying this my entire life. I've had the arguments from Gore onward. And on average, real GDP grows something like 1.6 faster under Democrats. The math has been there for-fucking-ever and it makes me so angry.

 

It's illegal! Lock them up.

 

And Dem administrations are almost always making up for a heinous GOP made deficit of some sort - at least in the last few decades.

And yet.

 

Night 3 also had Obama (and Warren) so its not exactly an apples to apples comparison between Harris and Pence.

Still lol that their ratings went *down* night 3 even with the NBA games being off.

The great Republican Myth - they are better for the economy and are better at balancing the budget. Yet, I think you have to go to Ford or before him to find a Republican that actually put that into practice. Fuck Reagan and his lies that lead to people believing it.

What happens is Democrats clean up the fucking mess and then Republicans come back into power and give their rich friends tax cuts and pump their budget full of shit to their grifting supporters. Thus the cycle begins again.

 

Is that bad

 

And then go BUT THE DEFICIT! the moment a Dem is in office.

Yeah the dems we’ve elected have played the deficit game and bought into the idea that the health of the Nation is based on arbitrary economic indicators that ultimately impact rich people more directly than the average worker. And meanwhile no matter who is in power in my lifetime we see wealth inequality get worse, minimum wage barely moves, comprehensive family health care becomes less and less and less affordable and social programs get slashed. The dems, if they’re going to be the party to oppose the GOP, need to stop playing by their rules and they need to leave the ultra rich behind.

 

I don't know how this guy isn't embarrassed by the billboards of him in Chicago. I saw about 20 of them with him and his shitty hair plugs.
