Has anybody asked the CEO of Antifa his thoughts? Maybe they can sponsor the championship.

Sorta figured lots of players would be up talking late. Time is of the essence unfortunately, nobody wants to be posted up in the bubble having meetings for days I imagine

to be a fly on the wall disney employee right now in the bubble/at these hotels. some of the stuff they're witnessing/hearing right now that nobody else in the world is privy to.

Is there a possibility a few teams leave the bubble and the playoffs continue? Like, if the Heat said they were leaving would Toronto just get moved to the ECF or would one team leaving mean it’s done? If just one team leaves does that team get fined or something?

I’m curious if it’s an “all or nothing” thing. Does everyone have to agree to leave for anyone to leave or can one team leave and the rest continue on?

edit: nvm just saw the tweet above my post that came through seconds before my post!

Hmm. Not gonna lie, disappointed because I worry what this does to the message sent yesterday.

regardless of the decision to proceed already made, my assumption would be that it is definitely an all or nothing thing.

the NBA was never going to be the end all solution to this nation-wide issue, but yesterday got the conversation started again, and stoked the fires. yesterday was nothing but positive, and i don't necessarily think this will be seen as them going back on it. you can make that narrative (not YOU yourself, but others on the internet.com) but i dont think that will be the way this is viewed.

  12. I feel like the message would have been forgotten if the teams left the bubble and stopped playing - staying in the bubble and eventually resuming keeps the message on the fore front as long as the owners/NBA execs met them on some of their demands

Lame as fuck. If you think any "demands" (which, to my knowledge, there aren't any) are going to be met without stopping the owners' cash flow you are a mark. Messaging and statements don't get the goods

    what

  16. why would they share with the general public what their demands are?

also if you read/listened to the Bucks statement yesterday you would have realized they laid out some demands

I agree with where you’re coming from. I do wonder if they have some plans going on behind the scenes now, and the owners now know that the players willing to hop off and go home if there isn’t progress?

  18. but I really do hope they got something accomplished

i want to see them actually speak on it though. what they were doing prior to yesterday was nowhere near enough. like, use your platform like you never have before. hard to not feel a bit disappointed and like last night was a bit of a charade. i hope they actually do something with this. and i hope owners didn’t influence this decision, which it kind of reeks of.

  21. as with anything in the current climate - everything is wildly complex and nothing should diminish what the players did yesterday. It got a conversation going more than a slogan on their jersey or the court. It shouldn't be up to them to resolve all the issues in our society.

I think it's very strange to just assume nothing positive was accomplished. With all the unrest, I don't think the players would have agreed if they didn't have some reassurance of positive change within the organization

  23. yeah I agree with this too - hopefully more details emerge later today.

  24. I also think this too

Strike or not, idc. They can do with their labor as they see fit. I just want the cops to stop murdering black people and then going on a paid vacation. Is that too much to ask?
