I live in Sydney, woke up 2 hours ago to go for a run. Got home got ready for work and headed out the door. On the way to the bus stop I opened the ESPN app to see today’s schedule and saw all 3 games postponed. I immediately let out a “fuck yeah” knowing exactly what had happened without reading a single tweet/post/article. Proud to be a fan of this league and these players.

This will end up being a far more impactful decision in the long term for every player in the league than I think some people recognize, so big respect for the commitment

 

Hopefully this can inspire some change. Need to play hardball with rich old owners because that is the only thing they’ll respond to. You know if some of those owners put pressure on local officials for legislation changes some stuff would happen. I just hope this can all be for something and some good can come from this. Reading the replies to any tweet about this makes me think we’re all doomed unfortunately

 

Police unions aren’t gonna listen to NBA owners. They have the support of the government. We need systematic change.
