Pats promo last night I thought was good. Thst isnt my issue with him, he’s an entertaining talker. My issue is he isn’t a wrestler and this is what they do with adam Cole after he drops the belt after 400+ days which sucks. But props to Pat, I liked his promo. Super natural sounding, funny, drawn out but not bloated or repeating himself too much.

400+ days as champion, but who, outside the nxt audience, and the iwc know who an adam cole is? now, with this program with a former nfl player (regardless of his position), how many people know who an adam cole is with articles on fox news, espn, and sports illustrated?

you see what the main roster does with great talent when they can't 'find' something for that talent to do... you want cole squandered or have him in a (regardless of iwc opinion) a marquis feud with someone that can bring outside attention to nxt, to adam cole, which in return, could boost adam cole's popularity, merch sales, etc...?

How many Pat mcafee fans who are not wrestling fans like pat enough to watch something they don’t watch? Is pat really bringing so many extra eyes to nxt? If cole wins this feud who cares because he beats a non wrestler. If he loses, he’s a champion who just lost to a non wrestler and devalues one of the three biggest names in NXT. I don’t see who it benefits; mcafee isn’t (imo at least) a massive, massive sports broadcasting name. My brother and dad both have no idea who he is and they watch football regularly.

 

Idk using football players as wrestlers in feuds sucked when WCW did 25 years ago and it sucks now.
